Shown above right my stall @ The Fishermen's Wharf Markets.
In mid 2007 Dressed to Kill opened a stall at Fishermen's Wharf Markets set in historic Port Adelaide. The Markets are situated on the wharf & alongside the historical red & white Lighthouse.
I am there on Sundays and Public Holiday Monday's from 9am-5pm.
There are 2 floors of Market Traders (all under cover & Free entry ) selling anything from antiques, vintage clothing, retro clothing, mine & others, bridal & formal wear, face painting, toys, bric a brac, books, dolls & dolls houses, bikes, linen, fresh veg, Heathers Mystic Dragons, Lucky dips, Hemp products & clothing. jewellery, garden products, photography, and when you have finished looking or in between, there are food stalls to eat at.
Sometimes (no guarantee) but most days at some time, you may be lucky enough to see the Port dolphins pass by. It is a wonderful sight to see. Sometimes they are right up against the wharf itself, going in & out of the docks. All the Traders love to see them & consider it lucky when we do.
Well worth a visit for the whole family.
My stall has three separate sections.
1. Wedding Dresses, Formals, Evening Dresses, Veils, Gloves, Jewellery, Petticoats.
2. Costumes for sale, children’s & adults, small – XXX large.
3. Retro Sales. Clothing from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s & 80’s all in Excellent condition. Uniforms, Net Petticoats, Rope Petticoats, Hats, Gloves, Kid Gloves, Long Gloves, Mittens, Feather & Lace Fans, Wonderful Beaded Bags & Shoes from the 60’s, Handbags, Dilly Bags, Rock N Roll skirts with musical notes or Poodles. Bustiers, Jackets, Tails, Men’s Tweed Jackets & Hats, Safari Suits, Feather Headdresses, Scarves, Berets, Masks,Jewellery, Jackets, Coats, Capes, Victoriana Clothing and more.
Many of the clothes were made & worn by me in the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s. So the collection of Retro covers 30 – 40 years. Hope to see you there soon.
